Comparison
What is the difference between MADDOX and Zomentum?
Zomentum is built around the quote: proposals, e-signature, payments, contracts and distributor pricing, with a CRM to track the deals. MADDOX is built around the conversation: recorded calls, coaching, deal discipline, renewals and business reviews, with quotes inside the CRM. Quote-led MSPs tend to fit Zomentum; assessment-led, coaching-minded MSPs tend to fit MADDOX.
Both products are used by MSPs to sell, and both reach beyond a plain pipeline. They reach in different directions, which is why the choice is usually clearer than a feature checklist makes it look.
Zomentum
What is Zomentum?
Zomentum describes itself as a revenue platform for service businesses, with MSPs, VARs and IT solution providers among its core audiences. Its product pages lead with proposals and quotes, e-signature with a built-in CRM, payments collected inside the proposal, contracts, workflow automation and reporting.
What it does.
The proposal builder offers templates, an AI editor, drag-and-drop elements and live distributor feeds. Payments can be collected within a proposal, with automated reminders. Workflow automation covers reminders, contract renewals and approvals, and reporting covers renewal risk, upsell opportunities and revenue trends.
What it connects to.
Zomentum’s pricing page lists PSA integrations with Autotask, ConnectWise Manage, HaloPSA, Syncro, Kaseya BMS and RepairShopr; distributor integrations with Ingram Micro, TD Synnex, Westcoast, D&H and Leader Systems; and accounting integrations with QuickBooks and Xero.
How it is priced.
At the time of review Zomentum published three plans. Expand and Growth are flat monthly prices that include a set number of users, with a per-user charge for each extra seat; Enterprise is custom-priced for larger teams. Current figures are on Zomentum’s pricing page. Higher plans raise limits on templates, automations, reports and the AI writer.
MADDOX
What is MADDOX?
MADDOX is a CRM for sales teams in any business that sells and keeps customers, with MSP depth built first. It ships with 200+ capabilities, all on by default, and its centre of gravity is the conversation: calls recorded and transcribed, coaching built on what was said, and deals held to stage criteria.
What it does.
Deals carry stage exit criteria and first-class objections; quotes use price books, bundles and templates; renewals run as a pipeline with a monthly recurring revenue view; accounts carry health scores; and a QBR builder prepares business reviews. Coaching and one-to-ones are built on recorded calls and the record. The AI Softphone, a separate application, reads the CRM and coaches live during calls.
For assessment-led selling, IT Audit is an add-on from the Marketplace that ships switched off: it scores an estate on a fixed scale and builds a client deck from the findings.
What it connects to, and what it does not do.
ConnectWise and Autotask connectors are early access and bring companies and their agreements across; QuickBooks connects as an opt-in. MADDOX does not collect payments, has no distributor feeds and has no native mobile app. Access is by invitation, with four subscription levels bought direct or through a partner; there is no published price list.
Side by side
How do MADDOX and Zomentum compare feature by feature?
Zomentum is deeper on the commercial paperwork: proposals, e-signature, payments and distributor pricing. MADDOX is deeper on the selling itself: calls, coaching, objections and deal discipline. Both handle renewals, and both connect to ConnectWise and Autotask, with different breadth and maturity.

The honest answer
When is Zomentum the better choice?
When the quote is where your deals are won or lost. If your sales are hardware- and licensing-heavy, you price from distributor feeds, you want e-signature and payment in one step, and your sales team is mostly quoting rather than calling, Zomentum is built around exactly that workflow and MADDOX is not.
Signs Zomentum fits better.
These are the situations where we would point an MSP to Zomentum ourselves.
- Most deals are product and licensing resale, priced from distributors.
- You want clients to sign and pay in the same document.
- You run a PSA other than ConnectWise or Autotask, such as HaloPSA or Syncro, and want a listed integration today.
- Your sales process is short and transactional rather than assessment-led.
The other side
When is MADDOX the better choice?
When the conversation is where your deals are won or lost. If you sell managed services through discovery calls and assessments, want to coach people from recorded calls rather than memory, and treat renewals and business reviews as sales work, MADDOX is built around that motion.
Signs MADDOX fits better.
These are the situations MADDOX was built for.
- You sell on assessments and want the findings, the deck and the deal on one record (with the IT Audit add-on).
- You have BDRs or account managers on the phone and want call grading and one-to-ones built on evidence.
- Objections, stalled deals and missed next steps are your real problem, not the proposal format.
- You want to resell a CRM to your own clients.
Can you use both?
Some MSPs will want Zomentum for quoting and a separate CRM for the selling. We are not aware of a built-in integration between MADDOX and Zomentum, so if you run both, decide up front which system owns the deal and which owns the quote, or the two pipelines will drift.
Before you decide
What should you ask Zomentum and MADDOX in a demo?
Ask both vendors to run one of your real deals end to end, from first contact to signed agreement and first renewal, and watch where each product hands off to something else. Then ask the same integration and cost questions of both, and compare the answers rather than the slides.
Questions worth asking both.
These questions surface the differences that matter most for an MSP, and the answers are easy to compare side by side.
- Show me a lost deal: where would I see why it was lost, and what was said on the calls?
- Show me a renewal ninety days out: what does the account manager see, and what do they do next?
- Show me the PSA connection: which fields sync, in which direction, and is it generally available?
- Show me how a new salesperson is coached in their first month.
- Show me what happens to a quote after the client accepts it.
Price the whole thing.
Zomentum publishes its plans; the cost to compare is the plan that carries the limits you would hit — templates, automations, reports and approvals — plus any extra users. MADDOX does not publish prices, so ask for a quote against the subscription level you need and check which modules that level includes.
In both cases, add the internal time to set the product up and keep it accurate. A tool your team half-uses costs more than its invoice.

Questions
The things people actually ask.
Is Zomentum a CRM?
Zomentum includes a CRM for tracking leads, deals and pipeline stages, but its product pages lead with proposals, quotes, e-signature, payments and contracts. It is best thought of as a revenue platform built around the quote, with a CRM attached.
Does MADDOX do proposals like Zomentum?
MADDOX has quotes with price books, bundles, branding and templates, and the IT Audit add-on builds a client presentation from an assessment. It does not collect payments or pull distributor pricing, which are central to Zomentum.
Which integrates better with ConnectWise?
Zomentum lists ConnectWise Manage among six PSA integrations. MADDOX has an early-access ConnectWise connector that brings companies and their agreements across. Ask either vendor for the field mapping and sync direction before you decide.
Which is cheaper?
Zomentum publishes plan prices; MADDOX does not publish prices and sells by invitation. Compare the total cost for your team, including the tier you need for the features you would use and any onboarding.
Bring a deal you lost on the call, not on the quote.
Ask for an invitation and we will walk it through MADDOX with you: the conversation, the objections, and what coaching would have changed.
